Framfield
& Blackboys Horticultural Society
Summer
Show - Saturday 14th August 2010
Welcome
to this year’s Summer Show Schedule. We have all
fingers and toes crossed for good weather this year
after the rather dismal start to the year.
We
are always looking to improve the Schedule and have
added a few new items and have also tried to simplify
the Flowers and Plants Section a little this year as
well as introducing a number of new flowers to exhibit.
Continuing
our ongoing series of Show Related Talks, we have arranged
a talk & demonstration by our judge Angela Merryfield
on arranging flowers for exhibiting. Definitely worth
coming to if you want to learn a few tricks of the trade.
This is set for Thursday 6th May 7.30pm and is FREE
for members with non members £3. This event of
course now clashes with the General Election and so
we will need to find a new venue different from the
one originally advertised. Call Fiona Fidler on 01825
890858 for the updated information.
We
always strive for something new and this year we have
the "pleasure" of "Where
WIll The Pig Do It?". You simply buy
one of the squares in the arena and the winner is the
square that the pig does its first pig-pat in.
As
we stress every year, the show does not put itself on
so we are always looking to welcome new members or volunteers.
Please feel free to contact Jenny Bacon on 01825 890236
if you can help, even if it’s only for an hour.
Finally
we are pleased to announce that the NFU Mutual have
again agreed to be our main Sponsor for this year's
Summer Show. We are delighted to have their support
so please come along to see them at the Show.
